Our Africa Project
In our class 3d we had difficulties to stick together as a class. We had many fights and problems. So we decided we needed something to work on together. Ms Bohlen-Ross was helping us with the process. She travels to Namibia every year to help a school in Okakarara. So we wanted to do something for the children there who obviously don‘t have such a good life like us. Ms. Bohlen-Ross showed us a film and we found out a lot more about life in Namibia on the Internet. We worked in teams and got along very well. The teams created posters about: animals, huts, food, jobs and medical treatment.
We also performed an African play called Handa‘s surprise. At the end of the project we celebrated an Africa-Fest with our families to show them our results in January. We even danced an African dance together. Our project was a big success. Ms. Sauer was very proud of us. With a fleamarket and selling jams we made 435€ which Ms. Bohlen-Ross took straight to Africa three days later!
